What This Workflow Does
When a gift card is spent in store, the online balance stays the same unless someone adjusts it, which allows the same value to be spent twice. This template starts on each Lightspeed Retail X sale, finds the linked Shopify card through an Airtable record, debits the amount, deactivates cards with no balance left and alerts Microsoft Teams if the update fails.

Inside the flow
How the template works
Triggered on a Lightspeed Retail X sale, the flow reads the gift card used, finds its Shopify twin in Airtable, debits the Shopify card and deactivates it if empty, alerting Microsoft Teams on failure.
Get the Lightspeed card
The gift card used in the sale is fetched from Lightspeed Retail X with the amount spent.
Find the Shopify card
The Airtable record linking the two cards is looked up, then the Shopify card and its balance are fetched.
Check before debiting
If the card is not valid, the flow stops and leaves it untouched.
Debit and deactivate
The amount is debited from the Shopify card, and a card left at zero is deactivated.
Update or alert
On success the Airtable record is updated; on failure a message goes to a Microsoft Teams chat group.
