Capture the new Shopify order
The workflow starts as soon as a new order is created in Shopify. The order data is passed on for preparation.
About this template
Shopify orders have to be re-entered in NetSuite, with someone looking up the right customer and item records each time. This template starts when an order is created in Shopify, prepares the address and order data, finds the NetSuite customer by email and each item by SKU, then creates the NetSuite sales order.
Key benefits
Inside the flow
A new Shopify order triggers an address cleanup and a JSON conversion, then parallel lookups find the NetSuite customer by email and each item by SKU. The results are merged into a NetSuite payload and the sales order is created.
The workflow starts as soon as a new order is created in Shopify. The order data is passed on for preparation.
An Address Healer step prepares the order's address details, and a JSON Converter turns the order into a structured format. This sets up the customer lookup, product lookup and sales order steps.
The workflow retrieves the NetSuite customer record using the customer's email address from the Shopify order.
The order is split into individual items, and each product record is retrieved from NetSuite using its SKU.
A Merge step combines the order, customer and product data from the parallel paths. A Format Payload step then arranges it in the structure NetSuite expects for a sales order.
The workflow creates a new sales order in NetSuite from the formatted payload. The sales order type and purchase order number can be adjusted to your business rules.
