How the template works
The flow is triggered when a sales order is created in Epicor Kinetic and compares the order against inventory by warehouse. If stock is sufficient, OpenAI generates the EDI 855, the file is uploaded to your FTP/SFTP path and the sales order is updated after the upload is confirmed; if not, a Microsoft Teams alert goes to a designated user.

The flow reads inventory by warehouse for the items on the order. It extracts the order and stock fields into one data set for comparison.
Decide if stock covers the order
A decision step checks whether available inventory is enough to fulfill the order. Orders with enough stock go to the 855 path and shortfalls go to the alert path.
Generate the EDI 855 with OpenAI
OpenAI turns the sales order details into an EDI 855 purchase order acknowledgment. No 855 is generated for orders that fail the stock check.
Upload the 855 and update Epicor
The 855 file is uploaded to the FTP/SFTP path you set for the trading partner. Once the upload is confirmed, the flow updates the sales order in Epicor Kinetic.
Alert shortfalls in Microsoft Teams
When stock falls short, a Microsoft Teams message goes to the user you designate. The order is reviewed before the buyer receives any response.
