What This Workflow Does
Warehouse teams ship from ERPNext, but Shopify orders stay unfulfilled until someone updates them by hand. Every 3 minutes this template picks up submitted Delivery Notes, finds the Shopify order from the order ID stored on the note and creates the fulfillment, with the LR number and transporter as tracking when present.
Key benefits
- Fulfillment without re-keying — Shopify orders are marked fulfilled from the Delivery Note, so staff stay in ERPNext.
- Tracking passed through — The LR number and transporter name become the Shopify tracking number and carrier.
- No duplicate fulfillments — Only orders with an open Shopify fulfillment order are processed.
- Returns skipped — Delivery Notes marked as returns, or with no Shopify order ID, are filtered out.
Inside the flow
How the template works
A scheduled check every 3 minutes reads new submitted Delivery Notes from ERPNext and uses the Shopify order ID in the note's title field to find open fulfillment orders. It then creates the Shopify fulfillment, with the LR number as tracking when it exists, and notifies the customer.
Load the full record
The complete Delivery Note is fetched, since the trigger payload may be partial.
Filter out returns
Notes with no Shopify order ID in the title field, or marked as a return, are dropped.
Find open fulfillment orders
Shopify is queried for the order's fulfillment orders. If none are open, the flow stops.
Create the fulfillment
If an LR number exists, Shopify is fulfilled with it as the tracking number and the transporter as carrier. Otherwise the order is fulfilled without tracking. The customer is notified either way.
