About Catrike
Catrike was created in 2000 by Paulo Camasmie, a Brazilian mechanical engineer. The company designs, engineers, and manufactures premium lightweight performance trikes in Orlando, Florida, and has won multiple quality awards. It runs its own production system with a strong focus on product development, engineering, and process design.
The Operational Challenge
Catrike sells only through dealers, and dealers sit in different group levels with their own pricing. Its catalogue carries many variants per model. With SAP Business One running operations, Shopify Plus serving dealers online, and Salesforce holding dealer relationships, the same products, prices, orders, and accounts lived in three places. Without a single integration layer, keeping group pricing, variant listings, order status, and dealer records aligned meant manual work and redundant data.
The problem
Three disconnected systems serving a dealer-only business created specific gaps:
- 01
No B2B Flow Between Storefront and ERP
Shopify Plus and SAP Business One were not connected for dealer (B2B) ordering.
- 02
Group Pricing Drift
Dealer-group-specific prices in SAP Business One had to be reflected on Shopify Plus by hand.
- 03
Multi-Variant Listing Overhead
Items with many variants had to be listed on Shopify Plus separately from SAP Business One.
- 04
Order & Shipment Gaps
Orders, shipments, and tracking were not synced between Shopify Plus and SAP Business One.
- 05
CRM Out of Step with ERP
Dealers, suppliers, items, and invoices in SAP Business One were not reflected in Salesforce, so sales lacked dealer purchase history.
This is the exact pattern appse ai exists to remove: three systems holding the same dealers, products, and orders, with people copying data between them.
Why appse ai
Catrike needed one integration platform that could handle B2B dealer logic on Shopify Plus, connect its ERP to its CRM, and stay flexible enough for complex scenarios as the business grew.
appse ai connects Shopify Plus, SAP Business One, and Salesforce on one platform, with pre-built connectors, end-to-end business-object mapping, near real-time sync, easy administration, and room to scale for eCommerce growth. Implementation was quick and affordable.
The solution: one integration layer across storefront, ERP, and CRM
Instead of copying data between systems, appse ai deployed automated workflows across Catrike's Shopify Plus, SAP Business One, and Salesforce stack:
- B2B Storefront Enablement
Dealer (B2B) flows run between Shopify Plus and SAP Business One.
- Group Pricing Sync
Dealer-group-specific prices in SAP Business One update Shopify Plus automatically.
- Multi-Variant Item Listing
Items and their variants are listed on Shopify Plus directly from SAP Business One.
- Automated Order Sync
Shopify Plus orders are created in SAP Business One automatically.
- Shipment & Tracking Updates
Shipment details and tracking flow from SAP Business One back to Shopify Plus.
- ERP-to-CRM Record Sync
Dealers, suppliers, and items are created in Salesforce from SAP Business One, and updated when a new dealer is added or an order is fulfilled.
- Purchase History & Invoices in Salesforce
Dealer purchase history and invoices from SAP Business One are visible in Salesforce.
Each workflow runs as a closed loop: detect the event in one system, resolve it against the others, execute the update, and only surface an exception to a human when judgment is required.
The results
- Fully automated sync across Shopify Plus, SAP Business One, and Salesforce
- Group-specific dealer pricing and multi-variant listings kept current on Shopify Plus
- Faster, more accurate order processing
- Shipment tracking pushed back to the storefront automatically
- Sales sees dealer purchase history and invoices in Salesforce
- Reduced data redundancy and leaner operations
- Higher employee productivity and dealer satisfaction
- A scalable integration layer that supports Catrike's continued growth alongside its products, dealer network, and team
Not perfect, but humans, dedicated and always willing to deliver to their promises. I believe them to be a trustworthy and reliable source.
