Q: How is data encrypted in transit and at rest?

All data in transit is protected by TLS 1.2+ with no protocol downgrade permitted. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256. Enterprise customers can supply their own encryption keys (BYOK) via the Credential Vault.

Q: Where is data stored and processed?

Data residency is configurable and fully documented. appse ai does not move data outside your designated region without explicit configuration. Region-specific deployments are available for Enterprise plans.

Q: How granular is the audit trail?

Every workflow execution, API call, user action, and data record processed generates a timestamped, immutable log entry capturing user identity, action type, affected records, and outcome. Logs are exportable on demand and retention-configurable to match your internal policy.

Q: Do you support separation of duties?

Yes. Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) lets you assign scoped permissions by user, role, team, and workflow. Multi-step change approval flows prevent any single user from building and publishing a workflow to production without review.

Q: What happens to data if we cancel?

On cancellation, all customer data is deleted from appse ai systems within 30 days, with a deletion certificate issued on request. No data is retained for training or any secondary purpose.

Q: How are AI agents secured?

AI agents operate within the same RBAC and permission model as all other workflows. Each agent is scoped to only the systems and data it is explicitly authorized to access. All agent actions are logged in the same audit trail as standard workflows - there is no separate, less-governed execution path for agentic processes.
